While I knew what I wanted as an end product, I was not familiar with the various technologies available to me. Upon discussions with Corby, he was able to guide me through the hardware available and was instrumental in helping me select the best equipment available within my budget.

From there, the entire process was seamless. When it comes to installation, Corby’s abilities are first class. He provides quick, clean, precise work which looks and sounds great! All systems are integrated and are easily understandable to use. The entire system is terrific and I knew in advance what I was going to spend.

I interviewed all the advertised “big” names in the industry, several boutique shops, and unfortunately didn’t talk to you in the beginning. I had my house wired by a firm that “pretended” to know what I wanted and “pretended” to care that I was going to get exactly what I was looking for and needed. They wired it in their “standard” methods which would work for someone that wanted less than what I wanted and less than what I had understood was appropriate for my requirements. I did not know this until the install of my systems began.

The company that wired my house was also set to install my equipment and my home automation system. When it came time for that, it was impossible to get them to come out to begin the project and I later found out that it was mainly because they did not truly know the system they had quoted and realized that they could not do the job. They then decided to try to steer me to another system that they had originally spoke negatively about for some strange reason. That made me uncomfortable, because I had researched all the available systems and knew what I wanted.

At this point I had to start looking again for someone to help me complete my project. That is when I was introduced to you. You were the first one, out of too many to name here, that actually listened to me and actually understood what I wanted and needed. Everyone else, tried to push me into their box or their design instead of allowing me to get what was right for me. You designed and modified my system until it made sense to me and until it met my needs. You were the first one that could actually tell me HOW the system would work in each situation that I would experience. Others just told me that “it will work” or “this will only work one way”. They didn’t seem to care that I had certain desires and they didn’t want to have to evaluate other options in order to accommodate my needs.

During the process, you had ideas that enhanced my system and made it more appropriate for me. Some of which I initially rejected, but now they are installed and implemented, I could not be happier! The system works exactly as it is supposed to and has brought so much enjoyment to everyone that has experienced all the work you have done. I have yet to find something I wish I would have done different or something that is missing except the fact that if you would have been the one from the beginning, the wiring would have been done correctly, it would have been completed earlier, and I would have saved even more money having it done right the first time. You were not the least expensive quote, nor were you the most expensive, you were priced right and if I would have made a decision based solely on price, I would have a system sitting on the floor, not installed and would be out more money looking for someone to come fix the mess!

I have also been impressed that you have been available for any reason since the install, either by phone, email, or in person. That was a fear I had from the first day looking at building a system like this and you have taken away my anxiety. I couldn’t imagine what I would be experiencing with any of the other companies I considered.

I appreciate everything you have done for me and I am excited about the new projects we are working on together for my house. I also appreciate the great work and care you have done for several of my friends and colleagues. They too have been impressed and more than satisfied with what you have done for them.

I built a custom home in 2009 and interviewed over eight companies to install a state of the art audio/video system in the new home including all wiring. In our initial evaluations, our preference was to not use a corporate AV firm. We wanted to have someone who would be responsible for our account consistently over time. Corby met and exceeded expectations in all our categories: good value for work done, impressive knowledge of AV systems, thorough, on-time (or called ahead if traffic delayed), accessible & responsive via phone, pager, and email, professional in appearance, and friendly. Furthermore, Corby anticipates things you might not have considered and offers options. During our project, even though it was relatively small compared to some of Corby’s other jobs, some of the equipment did not fit with what we had really wanted. Corby took care of switching it out for a better fit & then spent over an hour looking at a separate problem we were having outside of the project – and he did not charge us a cent for the extra effort. When other installers said it would be impossible to run the wiring in my media room, he made it work. He is very professional and responsible. I trust him with all of my multimedia needs and is the only one to call.
